About Bad Fellas Media Group (BFMG)
Provided below are answers to questions about Bad Fellas Media Group.
How did Bad Fellas Media Group start?
In early 2016, I was always home with a ton of free time, and struggling to find a job. During that time, I was watching a lot of YouTube videos and streams, which led me to re-discover TheNorthernAlex, as part of Code Zero Gaming. At that time, YouTube Gaming was just starting, and Alex was doing 365 days of streaming at night. It was through these streams that I engaged with his community, TheNorthernPack. Over the course of a few months, I started talking to some of the members on Discord, which then branched into our own servers.
Throughout the next year, we solidified as a group, hopping into calls almost every night to play games, crack jokes, and watch Alex's streams together. We even started a whole "toast" joke that blew up on one of Alex's streams, even getting the attention of Jeff Favignano. It was in late 2017 that I brought up the idea of us forming a proper group, and we started brainstorming names.
One of the initial names was Five Guys Gaming, as there were five of us at the time, and I had begun working at Five Guys. After a sixth member joined, we eventually landed on Bad Fellas Entertainment, with the name being inspired by the song "Bad Fellas" by BARELY ALIVE and Astronaut. This became the official name of the group, which was publicly announced on Christmas of 2017. The name was eventually changed to its current name, Bad Fellas Media Group.
